2. Visiting the website zugengo.eu
When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically collects technical access data (including IP address, date and time, page accessed, browser type). This data is processed exclusively to ensure reliable and secure operation (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest) and is not combined with other data sources.
This website does not use analytics or marketing cookies. Visitors are not tracked.
3. Conclusion and processing of the zugengo subscription
For the purchase of a zugengo license, we use the payment provider Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. When you make a purchase, you submit your payment and billing details directly to Stripe; we ourselves receive your email address, the website domain you provided, and technical identifiers (session, subscription, and customer ID) in order to generate and manage your license (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR, performance of a contract). We never see or store credit card or bank account details.
For more information on data processing by Stripe, see Stripe's Privacy Policy.
4. The zugengo script on your website
If you embed zugengo via a script tag on your own website, the following applies to the visitors of your website:
Settings (contrast, font size, colors, …)
These are stored exclusively in the visitor's own browser (localStorage). We do not receive this data and do not store it on our servers.
License check
When the script loads, a single request is sent to our server containing the license key and the calling domain, in order to verify the validity of the license. As a technical necessity, the IP address of the accessing device is briefly processed in the server log. No further analysis, profiling, or disclosure takes place.
Voice commands
If voice control is used, the speech recognition service built into the browser (e.g. the service provided by Google in Chrome) processes the voice recording. This processing is carried out by the respective browser provider and is outside our control. No audio data is transmitted to zugengo.
Screen reader function
The read-aloud feature uses the speech synthesis built into the browser and is typically processed directly on the device, without any data transmission to zugengo or third parties.
5. Cookies
Neither zugengo.eu nor the embedded script set any tracking or marketing cookies of their own.
6. Retention period
Contract and invoice data is retained for the duration of the statutory retention periods (in Austria generally 7 years under § 132 BAO). Server access logs are automatically deleted after short, standard periods.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
Please contact info@hectorswelt.at for these matters. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian data protection authority (www.dsb.gv.at).
8. Changes to this policy
We update this privacy policy whenever the legal situation or our range of services changes. The version in effect at the time of your visit applies.
